    Evidemment bcp de pétrole/ de gaz , d’argent en jeu …
    Et puis n’oublions pas que les hydrocarbures se trouvent forcement dans des zones sismiques, par définition même .
    De là que l’extraction du pétrole et du gaz aient une action sur les seismes ..
    J’ai posé la question à un ancien de Schlumberger, il ne m’a pas dit oui, mais il ne m’a pas dit non.
    C’est aussi pour cela que personne n’en parle

    Selon le gouverneur de la région de Sakhaline Ivan Malakhov, la ville de Nevelsk (Ouest de Sakhaline) sinistrée à la suite d’un puissant séisme devra probablement être entièrement reconstruite, a appris mardi RIA Novosti auprès de l’administration régionale.
    Au cours de rencontres avec les habitants de la région de Nevelsk, le gouverneur a relevé que la situation était particulièrement difficile. De nouvelles secousses telluriques d’une magnitude de 3,5 à 5 continuent à se faire sentir.
    « Si, d’abord, 79 bâtiments ont été qualifiés d’impossibles à réparer, mardi, leur nombre a presque doublé. Les commissions d’experts devront inspecter à nouveau les constructions. La situation est difficile, je n’exclus pas que toute la ville de Nevelsk doive être reconstruite », a précisé un employé de l’administration régionale, citant les paroles du gouverneur.
    Un puissant tremblement de terre d’une magnitude de 6,8 sur l’échelle de Richter s’est produit jeudi 2 août dans le sud de Sakhaline. Son épicentre était situé à environ 60 km de Ioujno-Sakhalinsk, dans la région de Nevelsk. Le séisme a fait deux morts.

  11. MOSCOU, 2 août (XINHUA) — Un fort séisme a secoué jeudi Nevelsk, dans l’île de Sakhaline, à l’extrémité orientale de la Russie, faisant un mort et plusieurs blessés.
    Cette secousse, dont la magnitude a été estimée à 6,0-7,0 sur l’échelle ouverte de Richter à Nevelsk, 5,0-6,0 à Kholmsk et 3,0-4, 0 à Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, s’est produite jeudi à 13H37 locales (02H37 GMT) et son épicentre se situait dans la zone de Nevelsk, a annoncé le maire de Nevelsk Vladimir Pak, cité par l’agence de presse Itar-Tass.
    *** Ce séisme a endommagé quelques installations industrielles****, mais aucun dégât n’a été sigalé dans les quartiers résidentiels.
    L’approvisionnement en électricité a été coupé en raison de dégâts survenus dans une station électrique, tandis que près de 24. 500 personnes ont été forcées à quitter leur maison.
    Un groupe de secouristes ont été envoyés de Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk à Nevelsk.

    13/08/2007 11:17 IOUJNO-SAKHALINSK (Russie), 13 août – RIA Novosti. Deux nouveaux tremblements de terre de magnitude 3 et 2 se sont produits dans la nuit de dimanche à lundi à Nevelsk, sur l’île russe de Sakhaline (Extrême-Orient).
    La première secousse, de magnitude 3, a été enregistrée à Nevelsk à 00h05 locales (13h05 GMT); la deuxième secousse, de magnitude 2, a été recensée à 05h14 locales (18h14 GMT), a indiqué une responsable de la station météorologique locale.
    Selon le ministère russe des Situations d’urgence, plus de 300 secousses souterraines ont été enregistrées dans le district de Nevelsk depuis le séisme dévastateur du 2 août dernier qui avait fait deux morts et privé de toit près de 3.000 personnes.
    Les travaux de reconstruction doivent coûter entre 4,5 et 5 milliards de roubles, a précisé le ministre du Développement régional, Vladimir Iakovlev.
