Russie/Ukraine : concession sur le gaz en échange du maintien militaire en Crimée

Le président russe Dmitri Medvedev et son homologue ukrainien Viktor Ianoukovitch ont ainsi annoncé mercredi le maintien après 2017 de la base navale russe implantée en Ukraine, en échange d’une réduction de 30% sur le prix du gaz facturé à Kiev.

Histoire de laisser le champ libre à d’éventuelles tractations supplémentaires, Medvedev n’a toutefois pas précisé si la prolongation de 25 ans de la présence russe en Crimée devait prendre effet dès maintenant ou à partir de 2017.

Le président russe a par ailleurs annoncé que ses  » partenaires ukrainiens » allaient « recevoir un rabais sur le prix du gaz ».

La remise accordée sera de 100 dollars pour un prix fixé à 330 dollars/1.000 mètres cubes. En cas de prix inférieur à ce montant, la facture sera allégée de 30% a tenu à préciser D.Medvedev, à l’issue de négociations avec M. Ianoukovitch.

En vue de limiter les éventuelles protestations des autres clients de la Russie, l’homme fort du Kremlin a ajouté que la réduction serait considérée « comme une partie du loyer de la base militaire à Sébastopol ».
