Les analystes s’avèrent tout de même quelque peu surpris par cette évolution positive des cours, estimant au contraire que la plupart des fondamentaux se trouvaient réunis pour une chute des cours du pétrole.
Certains expliquent le phénomène par un rebond technique résultant de couverture de positions pariant sur une baisse des cours.
Précisons que les cours étaient descendus jusqu’à 85 dollars dans les échanges électroniques précédant la séance sur le marché new-yorkais, réagissant aux fortes pertes enregistrées sur les marchés européens.
