Le cours de l’or victime de prise de bénéfices

Une fois n’est pas coutume, l’or  n’aura pas bénéficié lundi de son rôle de valeurs refuges.

Les investisseurs semblent au contraire s’être « délestés »  de leur placement dans le précieux métal  pour couvrir leurs pertes sur d’autres marchés.

En milieu d’après-midi, le cours de l’once d’or s’échangeait autour de 1820 dollars, alors que les prix étaient montés vendredi jusqu’à 1885,90 dollars.

Mardi dernier, l’or avait même atteint le niveau record de 1921,15 dollars.

Une envolée qui aura permis certains d’engranger de sérieux bénéfices …. leur permettant d’éponger les conséquences de leurs placements malheureux.

Rappelons en effet que l’once d’or a tout de même progressé de 15% en un mois.

L’envolée de l’or se trouve également freinée ces dernières heures par le regain de fermeté du dollar, le billet vert atteignant lundi son plus haut niveau depuis six mois face à l’euro.

Une situation qui rend moins attractifs les achats de matières premières libellés dans la monnaie américaine.

Reste que le phénomène ne pourrait n’être que passager, les incertitudes concernant la zone euro s’accentuant chaque jour un peu plus.

Précisons ainsi que le plus important fonds d’or coté au niveau mondial, SPDR Gold Trust, a vu le niveau de ses participations progresser de 10,5 tonnes durant la seule journée de vendredi, pour atteindre désormais 1.241 tonnes.
