    A l’exception de HSBC, qui se situait dans le vert, les banques britanniques voyaient leur cours chuter à la Bourse de Londres, lundi 7 octobre. En clôture, Royal Bank of Scotland a cédé 39,23%, Barclays 9,24% et Lloyds TSB 12,93%, dans un marché en hausse de 0,35%.
    Des baisses qui s’expliquent par une information révélée mardi par la BBC: Barclays, Lloyds et RBS auraient demandé lundi au ministre des Finances, Alistair Darling, de hâter sa décision sur un éventuel plan de soutien, qui devrait passer selon elles par des injections de capital de 15 milliards de livres (19,4 milliards d’euros) chacune.
