Le Medef ne veut pas payer la facture économique des Gilets jaunes

Les entreprises désormais bouc émissaire d’une révolte fiscale ? C’est en tout cas ce qu’a estimé vendredi le président du Medef Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux. Il redoute que le financement des concessions obtenues par les Gilets Jaunes ne soit porté par les entreprises, via la mise en place d’une hausse d’impôts.

Pendant ce temps, la ministre du Travail Muriel Pénicaud lançait quant à elle un appel aux entreprises pour qu’elles augmentent les salaires de leurs employés.

« Je ne voudrais pas que cette révolte fiscale se transforme en mettant en accusation des entreprises qui font leur travail. On pointe du doigt les entreprises alors que c’est un problème d’impôt », a-t-il ainsi déclaré sur les ondes de France Inter.
Redoutant que les entreprises ne paient au final la facture du mouvement du Gilets jaunes, le président du Medef a au contraire plaidé pour une baisse des dépenses publiques, afin de pouvoir baisser les impôts « de tous les Français ».

« Je supprime un impôt pour les ménages, mais comme je ne réduis pas les dépenses publiques qui sont les plus élevées du monde, je me tourne vers qui ? Vers les entreprises » a-t-il déploré.

Or, selon lui, si l’Etat se tourne vers les entreprises pour augmenter les impôts, le chômage devrait malheureusement repartir à la hausse.

S’agissant d’une éventuelle mise en place d’une prime exceptionnelle de fin d’année défiscalisée qui serait versée par les entreprises aux salariés, mesure prônée par le gouvernement, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux estime que c’est une bonne idée. Il a tenu à préciser qu’un geste pourrait être fait dans les secteurs en bonne santé économique.

Le président du Medef a toutefois déploré que la France soit le pays de l’OCDE où le poids des prélèvements fiscaux était le plus important en 2017, avec 46,2% du PIB. Des chiffres publiés jeudi par l’organisation.

Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux a également tenu à mettre en garde sur les conséquences économiques des manifestations des Gilets jaunes. Pour lui, certains commerçants affectés par les blocages pourraient être amenés à déposer le bilan suite à la baisse importante de leurs chiffres d’affaires en cette saison cruciale pour leurs revenus annuels.

Pour éviter de tels dégâts, le président du Medef « en appelle à l’État ». Il estime d’ores et déjà que les mesures déjà annoncées par le gouvernement comme la possibilité de recourir au chômage partiel ou des dérogations sur les règles du travail le dimanche ne seront pas suffisantes pour rétablir la situation financière des commerçants sur la sellette.

« Si on veut éviter des faillites en janvier, en février, en mars de gens qui ne pourront plus payer les salaires, il faut que l’État fasse cette fois un moratoire sur les cotisations sociales », a-t-il exhorté.

863 entreprises auraient d’ores et déjà sollicité le gouvernement pour mettre tout ou partie de leurs employés au chômage partiel en raison des blocages et manifestations de Gilets jaunes.  19 000 salariés au total seraient concernés.

L’exécutif se dit prêt à accélérer l’examen des dossiers déposés par les entreprises afin d’indemniser les salariés touchés. Dans le cadre de telles mesures, ces derniers ont droit de bénéficier de  70 % de leur salaire horaire brut pour chaque heure perdue.  8 millions d’euros seraient en cours de déblocage par l’État pour financer le dossier.

La Confédération des petites et moyennes entreprises (CPME) s’est alarmée quant à elle, vendredi, des conséquences des manifestations et blocages des Gilets jaunes sur ses adhérents.

Selon une étude réalisée par le syndicat patronal entre le 4 et le 7 décembre, auprès de 1 710 dirigeants d’entreprise, 62 % des PME et TPE (toutes zones géographiques et tous secteurs confondus) ont été touchées par le mouvement et 34 % des dirigeants ont constaté une perte sur leur chiffre d’affaires.
