Même s’il a pu atteindre le niveau record de 1265 l’once en juin dernier, le cours de l’or pourrait dégringoler jusqu’à 1050 dollars durant le quatrième trimestre 2010. C’est en tout cas ce qu’affirme le broker londonien Natixis dans un rapport publié vendredi.
Natixis précise ainsi tabler sur une nette chute des prix au 3eme trimestre 2010, une tendance qui pourrait même s’accélérer durant le dernier trimestre de l’année.
Le broker anticipe ainsi un cours proche de 1050 dollars en fin d’année, induisant une moyenne annuelle proche de 1 125 dollars.
Principaux arguments avancés pour justifier sa position : selon Natixis, les solutions apportées progressivement à la problématique des dettes souveraines des états devraient détourner les investisseurs de l’or, ses qualités de valeur refuge devenant désormais moins recherchées.
Autre facteur à prendre en compte : le renforcement de l’euro et la baisse du taux des CDS (Credit Default Swap) souverains.
Pour 2011, Natixis s’avère encore plus pessimiste, estimant que la moyenne des prix pourrait avoisiner 950 dollars.
