De façon récurrente, les craintes d’inflation pèsent sur Wall Street. Hier soir, l’indice Dow Jones, qui a connu son recul le plus fort depuis le mois de juin (-1,2%), a enfoncé à la baisse toutes ses moyennes mobiles longues. De son côté, l’indice S&P 500 – le plus économiquement représentatif de Wall Street- a touché un point bas sur trois mois. Enfin les technologiques, avec le Nasdaq Composite, ont chuté de 1,70% (moyenne mobile à 100 jours enfoncée).
Ralentissement économique probable avec inflation grandissante, ce n’est pas le cocktail préféré des boursiers. Et le dollar ? Il se tenait bien dernièrement avec la perspective de la poursuite de la hausse des taux. Mais le phénomène commence à être escompté, et devrait avoir de moins en moins d’effet. En passant, je signale aux warrantiers un conseil pour jouer un call euro contre dollar (voir sur le site La Vie Financiere rubrique warrants)
Les bourses européennes, qui ont caracolé jusqu’à avant-hier, devraient aujourd’hui encore suivre le mouvement de baisse enclenché hier. Je me dis qu’un recul vers 4480 au minimum du CAC 40 (3% de baisse) serait le bienvenue (pour la bonne santé de la tendance haussière).
