Quand la géopolitique impacte l’économie, et qui plus est, la production automobile.
Avtovaz, le constructeur automobile russe contrôlée par l’alliance Renault-Nissan, a annoncé lundi qu’il souhaitait diminuer sa production de voitures Lada durant les trois mois qui suivent. Une décision qui est indirectement issue des tensions entre pays occidentaux et Russie sur fond de dossier ukrainien.
Alors que les achats de véhicules connaissaient d’ores et déjà un ralentissement compte-tenu d’une croissance berne, désormais les sanctions prises contre Moscou en riposte à son action en Ukraine n’arrangent pas les choses. L’économie russe pourrait en effet directement pâtir de cette situation, et plus directement encore les consommateurs russes, lesquels préfèrent différer leurs achats.
C’est donc au final, pour faire face à une baisse de la demande intérieure, qu’Avtovaz a décidé de réduire sa production de 25.000 voitures au total sur les mois de septembre, octobre et novembre.
Rappelons, à titre de comparaison, que durant le mois de juillet, 47.100 Lada, ainsi que 12.100 véhicules Renault et Nissan ont été produits par le constructeur. Parallèlement, les ventes de Lada chutaient de 25% pour s’établir à 28.014 unités.
