Duncan Niederauer, directeur général de Nyse Euronext, a par ailleurs indiqué agir en accord avec les actions prises par la ville et l’Etat de New York.
Précisons que les autorités new-yorkaises ont décidé de fermer le réseau de transports publics à partir de dimanche soir. Ordonnant parallèlement l’évacuation par précaution de 375.000 habitants de zones risquant d’être inondées.
L’ordre d’évacuation concerne notamment des zones à proximité du bâtiment du New York Stock Exchange, lequel sera donc fermé.
