C’est avec soulagement que l’Association des Audionautes ainsi que l’UFC-Que Choisir ont accueilli la nouvelle : les députés ont adopté jeudi 22 décembre les amendements légalisant le téléchargement, pour un usage strictement privé, de fichiers sur Internet via les réseaux « peer to peer » (P2P, permettant les échanges entre ordinateurs individuels).
La veille, l’Assemblée nationale avait déjà adopté, contre l’avis du gouvernement, deux amendements identiques en ce sens, présentés l’un par le député UMP Alain Suguenot et l’autre par les députés socialistes, étendant à ce type d’échanges non commerciaux l’exception au droit d’auteur pour « copie privée », en prévoyant en contrepartie une rémunération des ayants-droit.
Bon, résumons, quand tout cela va être gravé dans le marbre, tout le monde va payer un peu, et non plus quelques coupables désignés, pour se donner bonne conscience. Est-ce que les auteurs piratés ont touché ces amendes ? Un abonnement plutôt que l’angoisse de la prison. Wait & see.
